Rights and requests

Request removal of an intimate image.

If an intimate image or video of you was published on SyncUp without your consent, you or an authorized representative can request removal. You do not need a SyncUp account, a lawyer, or a copyright claim. This process is available regardless of age.

Send your request by email

Send to support@syncuptechnologies.com with the subject SyncUp Intimate Image Removal Request. You may use your own email service. Opening the email link or reading this page does not submit a request; you must send the email. You do not need to create a SyncUp account.

Information to include

  • Your name or representative name
  • Email where we can contact you
  • Are you the person depicted or their authorized representative?
  • Links, account handles, message or story details sufficient to locate the content
  • Briefly explain why publication was nonconsensual and any relevant context
  • Your physical or electronic signature (typing your name is acceptable)

Include these statements

  • I have a good-faith belief that the intimate content identified in this request was published without the depicted person’s consent.

What to include

Provide a signature, enough information to locate the content, a brief good-faith statement of nonconsent with relevant context, and contact information. A representative should explain their authority. Do not attach or redistribute the abusive image; links or in-app location details are enough to start.

What happens next

For a valid removal request covered by the TAKE IT DOWN Act, we remove the content as soon as possible and no later than 48 hours after receipt, and make reasonable efforts to identify and remove known identical copies. That deadline includes weekends. We may ask for missing information; you do not need to wait for an account or use an in-app report first.

Other safety concerns

You can also report the content in the app. If material may involve child sexual abuse or exploitation, tell support immediately and do not forward or upload copies. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
